Known as “The Land of the Sleeping Giant,” Hamden, Connecticut is a New Haven suburb and home to over 60,000 people. Hamden also houses Quinnpiac University with an enrollment of about 8,000 students. Hamden has many different neighborhoods with various areas, including Town Hall at the center of Hamden and Freedom Park, which includes a water fountain with concrete stepping stones leading to a sign that pleads to peace in many different languages. The town also was host to the Ghost Parking Lot, which was a notable roadside public art installation found in front of the Hamden Plaza shopping center.
