Ranked as the ninth “Best Place to Live” in the United States in 2006 by Money Magazine, Fairfield, Connecticut is located in Fairfield County between Bridgeport, Easton, Redding, and Westport.
The town is located on the shoreline of Long Island Sound with an area of 31.3 square miles and a population of over 59,000. Fairfield is full of many interesting and fun places, including historic sites, arts and entertainment centers, and various parks. The town’s 5 miles of Long Island Sound coastline include five town beaches. Make sure to also check out the South Benson Marina and Lake Mohegan, which includes opportunities to hike and experience the waterfalls called The Cascades. Some historic sites include the Fairfield Railroad Stations, the John Osborne House, and the Pine Creek Park Bridge.
